The Battle of the M's: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer vs MAC Studio Fix Concealer
The Battle of the M's:
The title is pretty self explanatory as to what I am comparing, right?
I know one is in the thin liquid form and the other is a thick in the pot form.
But a concealer is a concealer, it should conceal imperfections, right?
So I compared a popular drugstore brand with a popular non drugstore brand.
Instead of noting down individual reviews, I will straight away go to the comparison:
Maybelline is a liquid consistency in the tube form.
MAC is a thick consistency in the pot form.
Maybelline shade pictured here is Light.
MAC is in the shade NW30.
As you can see I have pretty intense dark circles.
On the left I have used Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and on the right side I have used Mac Studio Finish Concealer.
Not much difference in the coverage.
The Fit Me concealer although the shade says Light, it blended pretty well in my skin tone.
Coverage is medium, but it can be layered without looking cakey.
Studio Finish gives perfect coverage for under eye dark circles.
Brush is required for the both the concealers to blend perfectly.
The wand in the Fit Me concealer is of no use other than applying. For blending, brush it is.
To be in a budget, Maybelline Fit Me is the perfect fit, but it seems that after a while the concealer gets a little dry, because the application is not as smooth as it used to be when it was new. I bought it a month back.
Whereas MAC Studio Finish Concealer never loses its charm. I have been using the same pot since 2 years, still hasn't dried up on me and the application is still smooth. For a review on the same, click here.
The Fit Me concealer lasts me a good 4-5 hours, whereas Studio Finish lasts me entire day approx. 8 hours.
Overall, if you can, buy the MAC one because of the staying power and the coverage that it gives.
If you are in a budget, Maybelline Fit Me will do the job of concealing, but you might end up buying it again after 2-3 months.

Maybelline Super Stay 14hr Lipstick - Eternal Rose
After using this lipstick I don't know why I was shying away from this brand. Simply amazing!
It's a little glossy, highly pigmented mauve pink shade.
Just perfect for medium to fair skin tones.
A quick review.
Advantages:
Highly pigmented, good color payoff even on pigmented lips.
14 hr lasting, I am not sure but definitely a good 5 hours and also survived breakfast, lunch and coffee.
Moisturising, didn't dry my lips at all.
Does not bleed.
Cheaper than other counterparts.
Disadvantages:
I had to reapply after 5 hours just to maintain the look.
It does however accentuate dry lines.
The last pic is 8 hours after application, no touch ups.
Only two disadvantages, which means it's actually good. Need to get more shades.
Enjoy!

Evening Look in a Quickie!
All tired from the office but still have a party to attend?!
Who has the time and energy to go through all the makeup? Not me, that's for sure!
Here's a tutorial which can transform you from a zombie to a glam look in a jiffy.
This is how I look after coming from office:
Yup it does look like I am the sole person in the office with all the work load, LOL!
First and foremost step, remove all makeup using a good makeup remover.
I use Baby Oil for removing face makeup and Body Shop's eye makeup remover.
After that I moisturised my lips and face using a baby cream and Avon Natural's Lip Balm.
Yes I am a big fan of baby products because they don't have any harmful chemicals and keeps your skin non-greasy and baby soft.
You must have noticed that I have pretty gross dark circles under my eyes. I took care of it by using a concealer.
MAC Studio Finish Concealer took care of that. You can find my reviews on this wonderful product here.
I used Revlon's Age Defying Foundation to lighten the redness of my face and don't forget to apply it on your neck.
For the cheeks I used a light pink shade (I used Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse) for that healthy glow.
For the eyes I skipped eyeshadow lined by eyes using a waterproof liquid eyeliner (Revlon's Colorstay Liquid Liner in Black) on the upper lash line and a water proof black kohl (Rimmel) on my waterline.
I used a white eye pencil (Elf) to highlight the inner corner of my eyes, the brow bone, on the cheeks and cupid's bow.
For the lips I used Rimmel's Amethyst Shimmer lipstick and topped it up with Neutrogena's Lip Soother for that glossy effect.
Lastly I used a matte powder for the finishing touch.
Thats it!
Have fun!!
